Varilux® Physio® Short™ lenses make it possible for patients to wear stylish smaller frames. The lenses combine the benefits of patented W.A.V.E Technology for minimized distortion and sharp vision that can be placed in small frames. Varilux® Physio® Short™ lenses are available in fitting heights as low as 14mm.
Breakthrough Technology for No Line Bifocals
W.A.V.E. (Wavefront Advanced Vision Enhancement) is designed to reduce aberrations or distortions allowing for clearer vision. Every lens has distortions that can blur vision. Minute imperfections in the lens surface distort the wavefront of progressive lenses, creating aberrations. Correcting these imperfections provides sharper vision. The molds for Varilux® Physio® lenses recreate the computed lens design with a level of perfection accurate to 1/10th of a micron. Varilux® Physio® lens designers can now evaluate the vision of patients through the lens designs. This helps them correct the distortions in lenses.
