Indications for Using Juvederm Ultra XC
Juvederm Ultra XC is indicated for use in people who wish to decrease folds or wrinkles on the face around the mouth and/or nasal area. The treatment lasts for a period nine to twelve months.
Contraindications for Using Juvederm Ultra XC
History of allergies to Gram-positive bacteria proteins
History of allergy to Lidocaine
History of multiple allergies or anaphylaxis
Precautions for Using Juvederm Ultra XC
If taking blood thinners such as aspirin, NSAIDs, or Coumadin you should inform your doctor to avoid bleeding from injection sites.
Immunosuppressed patients should tell their doctor as there is an increased risk of infection after treatment.
Juvederm has not been studied in women who are pregnant or breast feeding.
Juvederm has not been studied in patients with a history of keloid scarring.
